Project Overview

 

Despite progress in economic growth, poverty remains persistent in many parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, especially in rural and marginalized communities. Households face multiple vulnerabilities including limited access to financial services, climate shocks, and low income diversification.

This project investigates sustainable pathways out of poverty by focusing on community resilience, access to microfinance, and livelihood diversification strategies.

Identify key drivers of persistent poverty at household and community levels

Evaluate the impact of microfinance and social protection programs

Assess resilience strategies in vulnerable communities

Recommend scalable poverty reduction interventions
